ETH Weekly Analysis — Triple-Touch Supply at $2,547: The Higher-Low Coil Decides 2,740-2,800 or 2,356

ETH weekly: three taps of the $2,547 supply shelf while dips hold $2,356. A close above opens 2,740-2,800; losing the floor flips the structure bearish.

ETH/USDT weekly candlestick chart — triple-touch supply at $2,547, coil floor $2,356, measured-move 2,740-2,800

Ethereum enters the new week pinned under the same ceiling it has been testing for a month. The weekly chart shows three consecutive touches of the $2,546-2,566 supply shelf: August 24 spiked to $2,566.5, August 31 tagged $2,546.7, and this week price is pushing $2,537 again — yet there is still no weekly close above the zone. The counter-move is just as consistent: every dip underneath keeps finding buyers, with pullback lows holding at $2,387 and $2,356. That combination — flat supply overhead, rising floor underneath — is a coil, and coils do not stay quiet for long.

Why the shelf matters

The $2,547 shelf is the neckline of June's double bottom at $1,506/$1,512. When ETH ripped 31% in the August 17 week — from $1,876 straight to a $2,463 close with a $2,546.8 high — it dragged that neckline back into play as the battlefield. While weekly closes stay below it, the breakout is technically unconfirmed and the pattern reads as a higher-low coil under resistance. A confirmed close above completes the double bottom and points at the basin projection toward $2,800-3,000. The coil geometry agrees: floor $2,356 to shelf $2,547 is roughly $190 of range, so a clean break maps to a ~$2,740-2,800 measured zone.

The levels that matter

Supply: $2,546.8-2,566.5 — three weekly touches (Aug 17, Aug 24, Aug 31) make this a strong shelf, not a guess. The trigger for bulls is a close above $2,566.5, not another wick into it.

Support: $2,356.4-2,387.3 — the two pullback lows that define the coil floor. This is the level that separates a bull flag from a failed breakout. Below it, the 0.236 retracement of the $1,512-to-$2,566 recovery sits at ~$2,317, with the 0.382 at ~$2,164 as the deeper magnet.

Context: the June double bottom at $1,506/$1,512 and the August impulse origin near $1,870 are the structural anchors if the floor ever gives way.

Bull case: the coil breaks north

The path of least resistance stays up while $2,356 holds. Expect the shelf to be defended one more time — a shakeout below $2,470 that traps late shorts, then a reclaim through $2,547 and a first weekly close above $2,566.5. After that, the move is likely to stair-step rather than sprint: a pause near $2,640, a pullback into $2,580, then the measured $2,740-2,800 zone. Realistic probability: roughly 60/40 in favor of the breakout while the floor is intact — three touches of supply with rising lows underneath usually resolve upward, but every failed test adds weight to the bear side.

Bear case: rejection becomes a double top

If the shelf rejects a fourth time and price loses $2,356 on a weekly close, the higher-low structure is cancelled and the coil becomes a potential double top with $2,547 as its neckline. That opens $2,317 first, then the $2,164 zone (0.382 retrace) — and a loss of $2,164 puts the August impulse origin near $1,870 back on the table. A liquidation sweep under the floor before a reclaim would be the bull-friendly version of this path; a weekly close below $2,317 is not.

Bottom line

ETH is coiled between a triple-touch supply shelf and a two-touch higher low — a textbook standoff with a defined trigger on both sides. Bulls need a weekly close above $2,566.5 to aim at $2,740-2,800; bears need a weekly close below $2,356 to open $2,317 and $2,164. Until one of those closes prints, the honest read is a range that is about to resolve.
