Mining Profitability Calculator: One 270 TH/s Rig Earns $5.08 a Day at $0.06/kWh - and Loses $6.29 at $0.19
The free EarnCrypto mining calculator runs your hashrate and power price against live network difficulty and real block rewards. Here is the math at 270 TH/s.
A 270 TH/s Bitcoin miner - one Bitmain Antminer S21 XP - earns $10.33 a day before the power bill at today's BTC price of $77,548 and the live network difficulty of 1,274,507,897,158,431. The machine draws 3,645 watts, so it burns 87.48 kWh a day. At $0.06 per kWh it keeps $5.08 of that $10.33 and banks about $1,854 over a year. At $0.19 per kWh it hands back $6.29 more than it earns, every single day, while hashing perfectly. Same hashrate, same difficulty, same 3.125 BTC block reward - the only variable is the number on your utility bill, and the free Mining Profitability Calculator on earncrypto.dev exists to make that number impossible to guess at.
It is one page with four fields: pick a coin, type the hashrate your machine actually delivers, the watts it actually pulls at the wall, and the price per kWh you actually pay. It returns coins mined per day, power consumed per day and profit per day, alongside a break-even line. Six proof-of-work coins are supported - BTC, LTC, DOGE, ZEC, BCH and XMR - each with its own algorithm, block time and difficulty, and the output can be read in 28 currencies from USD to NGN.

The Formula Is the Whole Story
Expected blocks per day = hashrate x 86,400 / (difficulty x 2^32). Revenue = blocks x block reward x price. Cost = rig power in kW x 24 hours x your electricity price. Profit is the subtraction. At 1.2745e14 difficulty and 270 TH/s that works out to 0.0000426 blocks a day, or 0.00013318 BTC - $10.33 at $77,548. The difficulty figure is the same one the pools use, which is why the calculator fetches it rather than asking you to type it in. Hard-coding last month's difficulty is how a spreadsheet keeps calling a rig profitable three weeks after it stopped being one.
The break-even electricity price at 270 TH/s is $0.1181 per kWh. Below that the machine pays for itself and then some; above it you are quietly subsidising the network. That single number explains why hashrate keeps migrating: the hardware is identical everywhere, but electricity is priced locally, and the spread between countries is far wider than the spread between ASIC models.

See how much a mining rig actually earns - using real network difficulty and current block rewards, with your own hashrate and electricity cost. No inflated numbers, no fantasy ROI.
Live Inputs, Not Last Year's Spreadsheet
Difficulty is pulled from Blockchair and refreshed every 15 minutes, while prices come from the same feed as the site header and refresh every 90 seconds. At the time of writing the next difficulty adjustment was tracking roughly +4.1% with 772 blocks left in the cycle - and that is not a footnote, because a 4% difficulty increase is a 4% pay cut for every rig on the network. The page uses the real post-halving block subsidy for each coin instead of a chart copied from a blog post.
It is also candid about its own edges, which is rare in this category. Pool fees, hardware depreciation and luck variance are not inside the number, and the estimate assumes your effective hashrate rather than the sticker spec on the box, so treat the output as the top of your range and then subtract what your pool takes. Variance is the part nobody models: at 270 TH/s you are a rounding error in the global hashrate and your share arrives in lumps, not in a smooth daily drip.
The Halving Is Already on the Clock
Bitcoin's next halving sits at block 1,050,000 - 83,116 blocks away, about 577 days at ten-minute blocks, which puts the estimate at April 13, 2028. The reward drops from 3.125 BTC to 1.5625 BTC. Run the same 270 TH/s through that: revenue falls to $5.16 a day at today's price, and the break-even electricity price falls with it, from $0.1181 to roughly $0.059 per kWh. Bitcoin Cash shares the same block height and halves about April 2, 2028, 81,563 blocks out, and the live countdowns for BTC, LTC, ZEC and BCH are all derived from the current block height rather than a calendar guess, so they move as the network speeds up or slows down.
This is the part that most hashrate tables bury. Every halving halves the revenue at a fixed price, so any machine you buy today has to survive a 50% subsidy cut on a date that is already written into the protocol. The difference between a two-year payback and a four-year one is entirely a question of how much of that date the hardware lives through, and the calculator and the halving page answer that together.
Where You Plug In Decides More Than What You Buy
The site's country guides list electricity prices and the local tax treatment for 41 countries, and the range is brutal. Ukraine is listed at $0.06 per kWh, Saudi Arabia at $0.05, Malaysia at $0.07, India and the UAE at $0.08. Canada and Thailand sit at $0.12, Brazil at $0.13, Poland $0.14, Kenya $0.15, Romania $0.16, the Philippines $0.17. Then it climbs: Greece and Singapore $0.19, France $0.24, Japan $0.25, the United Kingdom $0.29, Italy $0.30, Germany $0.33.
Put the same machine in Ukraine and it clears $5.08 a day. Put it in Germany and it loses $18.54 a day, which is $6,767 a year on hardware that is running exactly as designed. Taxes land on top: Germany charges nothing on crypto held longer than a year, India applies a flat 30%, Greece 15%, the UAE zero, and the Philippines leaves gains untaxed until the moment you sell. A miner's margin is hashrate x price x (electricity and tax), and only the first of those is decided by the vendor whose box you bought.
Payouts Do Not Arrive in Dollars Everywhere
The same site runs a Crypto Converter that prices any of 19 coins in 28 fiat currencies, and it is the natural second step after the calculator: 1 BTC is $77,516, EUR 66,838, GBP 57,322 or INR 7,411,612 at the live rate, with coin prices refreshing every 90 seconds and fiat rates every 10 minutes. It handles subunits too - SATS, GWEI and DROPS - which matters because most mining payouts land in satoshis and the arithmetic gets old fast when you are converting them by hand.
How to Run It in 30 Seconds
Open the calculator, choose the coin, and enter the hashrate and power draw of the machine you actually own - not the variant from the video that made you want one. Type the per-kWh price from your most recent electricity bill and read three numbers: coins per day, electricity per day, profit per day. Then check the halving clock for the same coin to see what the rig earns after the subsidy halves. If the answer at your wall socket is negative, the tool has just done its job - a screenshot costs nothing, and a shipping bill does not.
If the math says no to hardware, the no-rig versions are on the same site. MiningPool.Online puts cloud hashrate behind a browser instead of a box in your garage. EarnCrypto Pools keeps BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC and DOGE in a single non-custodial balance with per-token claiming, no lockups and no hardware to buy. AI EarnCrypto is the AI-routed version: connect MetaMask or Phantom and the engine runs the sessions while the calculator tells you what that hashrate is worth today. The calculator itself asks for nothing - no account, no email, no signup - and it sits in the site's toolbar next to the converter and the country guides, with the halving countdowns one tab away.
