XRP Daily Analysis — Six Lower Highs Since 1.6581 Test the 0.618 at 1.2588: 1.3126 Decides 1.3534 or 1.1389
XRP has printed six lower swing highs since 23 September and sits 3.0% above the 0.618 at 1.2588. A 1.3126 reclaim or a 1.2701 break decides 1.3534 or 1.1389.

XRP closed on 17 October at 1.2941, the lowest daily close of the decline that began at 1.6999 on 22 August, and the last two sessions have held between 1.2701 and 1.3126. The size of the drop is not the interesting part — 23.7% off the August high is ordinary for this asset. The shape of it is: six descending swing highs, each one lower than the last, with price now sitting 3.0% above the 0.618 retracement of the whole August leg.
Six lower highs, one slow staircase
23 September high 1.6581, then 1.6300 on 25 September, 1.5550 on 2 October, 1.4300 on 11 October, 1.3868 on 14 October, 1.3534 on 16 October. Six local peaks, six lower prints. The lows, on the other hand, stopped falling as fast: 1.4458 on 2 October, 1.3189 on 8 October, 1.2840 on 15 October, 1.2891 on 16 October, 1.2701 on 17 October. The last three sit inside a 1.5% band, and that is the only structural thing that has changed in three weeks.

The fibs that matter
The measurable leg is 0.9862 on 14 August to 1.6999 on 22 August, a range of 0.7137. Its retracements are 1.5315 (0.236), 1.4273 (0.382), 1.3431 (0.5), 1.2588 (0.618) and 1.1389 (0.786). The 0.5 broke on 12 October with a close at 1.3422; 13 October closed back above it at 1.3661, but the four sessions since have all closed below. The 0.618 sits 2.7% under that 17 October close and 2.9% under today's 1.2964.
RSI(14) reads 35.3. That is weak, but it is not the sub-30 print that marks a capitulation wick, and the difference matters: there is still room to travel before "oversold" becomes an argument for a bounce. The 20- and 50-day averages have converged at 1.4130 and 1.4153 — both roughly 9.0% above spot, which is a lot of overhead supply for any rally to eat.

The base and the pivot
15 October low 1.2840, 16 October 1.2891, 17 October 1.2701, today's partial session 1.2919. No single tick has printed three times, so this is a zone and not a shelf: 1.2701 to 1.2919. The pivot above it is 1.3126, the 17 October high. A daily close through 1.3126 turns two weeks of lower highs into a base; a daily close under 1.2701 leaves the 0.618 at 1.2588 as the only thing standing between price and the 0.786 at 1.1389.
Volume is worth reading carefully. Today's session has traded 11.5 million XRP against a 20-day average of 112 million — a 0.10x pace seven hours in, on a Sunday. Thin volume at the lows is not demand. It is indifference, and indifference resolves in the direction of the last trend until it does not.
Two paths, with numbers
The bull case starts with a 1.3126 reclaim. The measured move of the base is 1.3126 minus 1.2701, or 0.0425, projected from the break to 1.3551 — within 0.1% of the 16 October high at 1.3534. That confluence is the first real target. Beyond 1.3534 the 0.5 at 1.3431 is already behind, and the next supply is 1.3868 (the 14 October high), then 1.4300. This path is invalidated by a daily close back under 1.2588, because that flips the 0.618 from support to overhead resistance.
The bear case starts with a 1.2701 break. The leg that matters is 1.4300 on 11 October down to 1.2701, a range of 0.1599, and a measured count off a 1.2701 break targets 1.1102. The 0.786 at 1.1389 sits inside that zone, which makes 1.11 to 1.14 the honest destination rather than a round number someone picked. Expect a bounce first, though: the 0.618 is exactly the kind of level that produces a two-session retest of 1.29 to 1.30 before it gives way, and the 8 October low at 1.3189 produced a three-session bounce to 1.4300 before it broke - that is the pattern to expect at 1.2588.
The path of least resistance stays down while the six-step sequence of lower highs is intact. The 0.618 is where the first real fight is, and the way price leaves the 1.2701-1.3126 box answers which scenario is running.
What our 8 October note said
Our 8 October XRP note read the 1.4458 shelf as cracked and put the deciding line at 1.4273. The market closed below it on 12 October and has not traded back above it since — the bear path from that note is the one that ran, all the way to 1.2701. The rail that produced that call is the same one drawn on the chart above, 1.6581 down to 1.3534, and it has not been broken by a close.
