SUI Daily Analysis — A 1.2921 Rejection on 174.5 Million Tokens and Three Undercuts of Parity: The 1.0431 Line Decides 1.0922 or 0.8897

SUI topped at 1.2947/1.2921 and the 0.2025 count is 65.5% filled at 0.9595. Three undercuts of parity all held: 1.0431 opens 1.0922, and 0.9935 gives 0.8897.

SUI/USDT daily close-structure map, 21 September to 17 October 2026: the 1.2947 and 1.2921 twin top, the 1.0922 neckline, three undercuts of 1.00 parity and the unfilled 0.8897 measured move
Loading SUI candles…

SUI printed its high of the last six months on 27 September at 1.2947 on 101.0 million tokens. The next session came back to 1.2921 and sold it. That second candle is the one that matters: 174.5 million SUI changed hands, the second-heaviest session of the entire window behind only the 239.7 million of 21 September, and the close landed at 1.1677 — 9.63% under the high it had just made.

A Twin Top With a Lower Third High

The third touch came on 4 October at 1.2655, 0.0292, or 2.3%, under the first peak and on 0.60x the twenty-session average. Three touches of a 2.3% shelf, each on less volume than the one before it, is distribution. It is the same shape Bitcoin printed three times in September, and it resolved the same way.

The Neckline at 1.0922 Broke on 8 October

The trough between the peaks is 29 September's low at 1.0922, and that is the neckline. It held through six sessions of consolidation in 1.1032-1.1986 — the shortest leg of the whole structure — and then gave way on 8 October, when the session printed 0.9980 and closed at 1.0408 on volume roughly in line with the twenty-day average. That is a break without capitulation, which usually means the count is not finished.

Three Undercuts of Parity, Five Closes Above It

What has followed is the most interesting part of this chart. Parity at 1.00 has been tested five sessions in a row and closed above it every single time: 8 October (low 0.9980, close 1.0408), 13 October (0.9935, 1.0476), 15 October (0.9595, 1.0369), 16 October (1.0003, 1.0211) and 17 October (1.0016, 1.0082). Not one daily close beneath the round number.

The 15 October session deserves a closer look. It traded 4.05% under parity, swept the round number and every stop resting beneath it, then closed 8.07% above its own low at 1.0369 — on 0.84x the twenty-session average. Selling into parity is getting smaller, not bigger. That is the difference between a ledge and a base.

Three undercuts of a round number and five straight closes above it is not a coincidence, it is a bid. But the bounce has not yet taken the 0.236 of its own decline, and until it does, that bid is a floor to stand on rather than a springboard.

The Bounce Has Not Taken the 0.236

From the 1.2947 top to the 0.9595 sweep is 0.3352. The 0.236 sits at 1.0386, the 0.382 at 1.0875, the 0.5 at 1.1271 and the 0.618 at 1.1667. Today's close of 1.0082 is 0.0304 — 3.0% — under the first of those. That is the honest read on the recovery: real, bought, and shallow.

The Bull Case

The bulls need 1.0431, 15 October's high, before anything else. Then 1.0615 from 16 October and 1.0797 from 9 October. Above 1.0875 the 0.382 is taken and the 1.0922 neckline becomes the gate; a daily close above it turns the entire 0.2025 count into a failed breakdown and opens 1.1271, the 0.5, with 1.2655 as the next real resistance.

The Bear Case

The bears keep the trend until 1.0922 is reclaimed. A close under 0.9935 puts parity back in play from underneath, and under 0.9595 the 0.8897 count is the target — 0.0702, or 7.3%, below the sweep. Between 0.9935 and 1.0431 there is nothing but noise: 0.0496 of chop, half of it eaten by fees, for anyone trying to trade the middle of it.

Structure favors the bears on the daily: a twin top with a lower third high, a broken neckline, and a bounce that is 3.0% short of its first retrace. But the last three sessions printed higher lows at 0.9595, 1.0003 and 1.0016 on fading volume, and every attempt to close under parity has been bought back the same session.

I would call it 55/45 down until 1.0431 closes above, and treat 0.9935 as the line that decides whether the parity shelf is a base or a ledge. The count is 65.5% delivered and it is the count that has the momentum; the shelf is what has the bid. Whoever wins that argument sets the next 15%.
