Binance Just Opened HYPE Spot Trading — the $89.91 Floor and the $97.96 Record Decide What Comes Next
Binance opened HYPE spot trading in USDT, USDC and TRY with a zero-BNB listing fee and a Seed Tag. HYPE trades 3.9% under its $97.96 record, holding $89.91.

Hyperliquid's HYPE is a Binance spot asset as of today. Trading opened at 11:00 UTC in three pairs — HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC and HYPE/TRY — after Binance published its listing notice with the Seed Tag applied and a listing fee of zero BNB.
It is the token's largest centralized venue so far, and it lands while HYPE is still inside a five-week advance. The coin printed an all-time high of $97.96 on September 23 at 05:16 UTC, per CoinGecko, and it is changing hands near $94 as this is written — about 3.9% under the record, with 13.2% gained over seven days and 15.3% over thirty.

What Binance Actually Opened Today
Binance scheduled spot ALGO orders to go live with the open, with trading bots and spot copy trading following inside 24 hours. Deposits were enabled an hour after the announcement, and withdrawals are pencilled in for September 25 at 11:00 UTC, a time the exchange itself calls an estimate.
The first Binance spot candle is the honest measure of what the venue is doing with the token. By early evening UTC the session had traded between $90.66 and $94.88, printing near $94.32 on roughly 238,000 HYPE — close to $22 million of turnover, straight from Binance's own spot API.

Access is not universal. Residents of the United States, Canada, the Netherlands and a list of other restricted jurisdictions cannot trade the three new pairs, and the Turkish lira pair is limited to verified Binance TR accounts.
HYPE arrived under Binance's Seed Tag, the designation the exchange uses for newer projects it considers higher risk than the rest of the book. The wording in the notice is unusually direct:
“HYPE poses a higher than normal risk” and “will likely be subject to high price volatility.” — Binance listing notice, September 24, 2026
Traders who want tagged assets must pass the exchange's risk-awareness quiz every 90 days and accept its terms, with a warning banner on the token pages. The tag is also reviewed periodically on volume, liquidity, development activity and network security, so listing-day turnover is far from the only number that will matter this week.
Why the Listing Matters for a Perp DEX Token
Hyperliquid is not a micro-cap getting its first venue. DeFiLlama ranks it first among tracked perpetual DEXs by 24-hour normalized volume at roughly $7.42 billion, ahead of Aster at $2.08 billion and Lighter at $1.93 billion, with about $220 billion traded across the past 30 days.
The protocol's own data sits on the same scale: its API shows HYPE perpetual open interest near 21.1 million HYPE, close to $2 billion at the current mark, and $846 million of HYPE perp volume in 24 hours. On Binance, the HYPE perpetual contract carries about 3.9 million HYPE of open interest and $957.8 million of daily volume, with funding slightly negative at -0.0062% — longs are being paid, not paying.
Revenue is the part most spot traders never check. CoinGecko ranked Hyperliquid first in its adjusted 2026 crypto revenue table with $429.04 million generated from January 1 through September 15. DeFiLlama counts $2.75 million of fees in the last 24 hours, $76.13 million across 30 days and $1.58 billion all-time, while the protocol's fee documentation routes trading fees collected by the Assistance Fund into HYPE buys that are burned from supply.
We first wrote this protocol up in August, when the HYPE buyback engine went live — the mechanics behind that burn have not changed, but the audience that can reach the token has.
The Chart: $89.91 Is the Floor, $97.96 Is the Gate
The structure is a five-week advance with a tight decision band. HYPE bottomed at $75.27 on September 15, then printed the impulse on September 18, opening near $83 and closing at $92.37. It has not closed below $92 in any session since.
The record came in at $97.96 on September 23, followed by a reversal day that closed $2.6 lower. What followed is the interesting part: a two-touch floor at $89.91, built by the September 20 and September 24 sessions, which sits just above the 0.382 retracement of the whole $75.27 to $97.96 move at $89.29.
Above, the lane is tighter. The 0.236 retracement is $92.61 and the September 23 low was $92.15, so every daily close in the four sessions since the record has landed between $92.15 and $96.24. Compression that narrow after a $22 move usually resolves instead of drifting.
Two Paths From $94
BULL case: a daily close back above $96.87, the September 22 high, puts the $97.96 record back in play. Acceptance above it opens the 1.272 extension of the September leg at $104.13, and the $89.91 to $97.96 range projects a measured move near $106. Invalidation: a daily close under $92.15 drops the setup back to the lower half of the band.
BEAR case: the first genuine warning is a daily close below the $89.91 and $89.29 confluence, which confirms the 0.382 break and turns the 0.5 at $86.62, the 0.618 at $83.94 and the 0.786 at $80.13 into the ladder. A close beneath $80.13 would mean the entire September leg is retraced, with the range's own measured move pointing at $81.90 first.
Neither path needs a forecast. The token is 3.9% from a record, worth $20.9 billion, turning over $1.2 billion a day, and it has just been connected to one of the largest spot order books in crypto — with a Seed Tag that says out loud how fast it can move in both directions.
What to Watch After Listing Day
Three things. First, whether Binance spot volume holds above the $22 million printed on day one against $957.8 million of daily perpetual volume — that ratio separates a lasting spot bid from a listing-day bounce. Second, whether the $89.91 floor survives its first full weekday test, because the Seed Tag puts the token under periodic review. Third, the September 25 withdrawal window, when the HYPE deposited ahead of the listing becomes mobile on the exchange for the first time.
