AVAX Daily Analysis — A Closing Wedge of Five Lower Highs on the 0.382 at 9.6954 Decides 10.98 or 8.70
AVAX has stacked five lower highs against a three-session rising floor and the wedge now closes on the 0.382 at 9.6954. 10.00 or 9.675 decides 10.98 or 8.70.

AVAX has spent three weeks compressing. The highs have fallen every time. The lows have risen three times. The two rails now meet on the current candle, with price at 9.779 on a 6.85% average true range. Spot is 18.5% under the 29 September top at 12.008, and the 0.382 retracement of the entire 5.954-12.008 rally sits 0.9% below it. That is the whole setup in two lines.
Five lower highs
29 September 12.008, 6 October 11.730, 12 October 11.115, 16 October 10.522, 17 October 10.102. Five peaks, each below the last, four of them inside a 14% slide. The highs are not bouncing: the 16 October candle tagged 10.522 and still closed at 9.959, and the 17 October session never traded above 10.102. That is a supply line, not a series of accidents.

Three rising lows
15 October 9.337, 17 October 9.562, today 9.709. Three prints over three sessions is a young rail and it should be described as one — a slope, not a wall. What makes it more than noise is where it sits. The 15 October low at 9.337 was a sweep 0.36 under the 0.382 at 9.6954, and the same session closed at 10.042, 7.5% off its low. That is a liquidity grab beneath a fib, and the market has not been back to it since.
The wedge has no room left
Fit the two rails and they intersect around candle 120 of the daily window — which is today. The upper rail runs 12.008 (29 September) to 10.102 (17 October) at minus 0.1059 per session, which puts it at 9.996 on the current candle. The lower rail runs 9.337 (15 October) to 9.562 (17 October) at plus 0.1125 per session, which puts it at 9.675. Price at 9.779 is inside a 0.32-point channel. One of the two rails gives way this week.

Both sides have measurable targets. The wedge's widest point, measured at the 15 October candle, is the 10.314 upper rail minus the 9.337 low — 0.977 points. Projected from a break of 10.00 that is 10.98, just under the 12 October lower high at 11.115. The same 0.977 measured from a break of 9.675 gives 8.70, and the 0.5 retrace at 8.9810 sits between the two. The fib ladder of the 5.954 to 12.008 rally is 10.5793, 9.6954, 8.9810, 8.2666 and 7.2496.
Momentum is not helping either side
RSI(14) is 45.6 — dead centre, no divergence worth quoting. ATR(14) is 0.670, or 6.85% of spot, and that single number explains why every level here should be treated as a zone: one average day covers half the 9.675 to 9.996 channel. Price sits 7.8% under the 20-day at 10.5978 and 4.1% above the 50-day at 9.4029. That spread is the whole argument — the short-term trend is down, the intermediate one is still up, and neither has won yet.
Volume today is 0.33 million AVAX against a 4.25 million 20-day average, a 0.08x pace on a partial Sunday session. The wedge will need a real candle to resolve, not this one.
Two paths, with numbers
The bull case needs a daily close above 10.00, the upper rail. The first test is 10.522, the 16 October high; a close through that opens the 0.236 at 10.5793 and then the wedge count at 10.98. This path is invalidated by a close back under 9.67 — a wick through the floor that closes above it does not count.
The bear case needs a daily close under 9.675, the rising floor. The 0.382 is then behind price instead of under it, and the measured 8.70 with the 0.5 at 8.9810 makes 8.70 to 8.98 the destination zone. A first bounce off 9.30 to 9.40 — the 15 October sweep low — would be normal and is exactly what separates a breakdown from a sweep.
The path of least resistance is still down: five lower highs against a three-session floor is not a balanced fight. But the 0.382 has been swept and reclaimed once, and the wedge closes now, so the resolution should come fast in either direction. The 12.008 top is not in play this week. 10.98 is.
What our 6 October note said
Our 6 October AVAX note set the floor at 10.732 with 10.197 as the measured target below it. The market took out 10.732 on 8 October and 10.197 on 11 October, then printed 9.337 on 15 October. That is why every level in this note sits a fib lower: the old floor is now overhead supply at 10.522 to 10.732, and the fight has moved to the 0.382.
